High Interest Day!

High Interest Day will be on Friday, May 22nd – get excited! It’s an interactive day where our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students rotate through 4 classes of their choosing and have a chance to see how the interests they develop now can turn into careers and hobbies they can pursue later in life. There is a terrific line-up of class offerings, which can be found HERE.
During school the week of February 23rd, your children will rank their top 8 choices on their iPads (1 being their top choice, and 6-8 being classes they would like if their top 5 choices are filled). As in past years, 5th graders will get first priority in scheduling, followed by 4th graders and then 3rd graders.
We need your help! Please take a moment to review the offerings with your children and encourage them to use High Interest Day as an opportunity to explore and try something new. Also, for 4th and 5th graders, it would be wonderful if you could urge them to not repeat a class they’ve taken in previous years. Many thanks in advance for your help and support!

CSCI Survey Opens Tuesday!
The D181 2025-26 CSCI climate survey opened on Tuesday, February 17th. Families will receive a link to the survey by email on 2/17. This annual survey is not only a requirement for all school districts in the state but also an opportunity to share how we're performing as a school district with audiences near and far.
Staff will complete the survey during a staff meeting, and students in grades 4-8 will complete the survey during the school day.
Participation from parents, teachers, and students is crucial to ensure we compile a valuable snapshot of D181's school climate. All survey results are anonymous, as responses are reported directly to the National School Climate Center before being made available to the District and public.
For more information, visit D181.
