*Science and social studies asynchronous instruction will be provided by D181 teacher librarians. Instruction in science/social studies will begin on September 21 after the transition period ends. Each teacher librarian will be responsible for an entire grade level of students across the district. Teacher librarians will also host 20-30 minute office hours for the purpose of answering general questions regarding the lesson or activities assigned. Office hours are not intended for tutoring. During the transition period teacher librarians will introduce themselves to students and ask their students to complete an assignment introducing themselves. **Independent Free-Choice Reading – The teacher librarians will facilitate the process of daily independent reading at home. Classroom teachers will continue to assist students in selection of independent reading materials from classroom libraries. The teacher librarians will continue to assist in their building library book check out. Books will be quarantined in between check outs for safety purposes.

Specials Information for Hybrid Students:
Music, PE and Art will be part of the remote portion of the hybrid school day. Students will receive two asynchronous specials classes per day. PE will provide an asynchronous lesson daily, while Art and Music will alternate each day. All videos will be available to students through Seesaw or Google Classroom and can be accessed at any time. On Tuesday, September 8 students will begin with Art and PE. There will be two to three teachers delivering instruction for each subject.

Specials Information for Remote Students:
Remote students will be receiving 20 minutes of synchronous instructions from Art, Music and PE through either Google Meet or Zoom. Teachers will be following a rotating schedule so that students will have one live specials class per day. All lessons will also be available to students through Seesaw and Google Classroom.. There will be two teachers delivering instruction for each subject.
