D86 Referendum Facts


On November 6th, voters in the D86 district will be asked to approve a referendum for $166Million.  To help educate parents, the PTO will be providing facts about the referendum throughout the month of October.  Our goal is to ensure the community is informed BEFORE going to the polls.

FACT: $46Million in safety, security, accessibility, and infrastructure improvements ARE REQUIRED and must happen in the next one, three or five years.

FACT:  D86 has not passed a referendum in more than 50 years.As benchmarks, Downers Grove (District 99) passed a $136Million referendum earlier this year. New Trier High School (District 203) is just now completing a $100Million renovation.
