Summer Learning Registration to Open
The 2018 Summer Learning Program catalogue will be available in every school office beginning the week of April 9 and also online. Registration will also be held online.

All District 181 students and interested age appropriate students outside the D181 community are invited to enroll in the annual Summer Learning Program. A comprehensive array of courses is offered for students entering K-8, including classes in music, theater, art, world languages, technology, math, reading, writing, science, and physical education. Sessions also focus on specific skills, such as organization, keyboarding, game design and overcoming obstacles.

School Registration for 2018-19 begins Monday, April 16
School registration for 2018-19 is scheduled to begin on April 16. If you have a child currently in Grades K-7, you will need to complete the District registration and fee payment process to enroll your child for next school year. On Monday, April 16 parents will receive an email with a direct link to the D181 online registration
system and directions to guide them through the steps. Registration will be held from April 16-May 6.

Suburban Consortium Student Art Expo
Artwork created by students from School District 181 will be among hundreds of works of elementary and middle school creations on display from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the fourth annual West Suburban Consortium for Academic Excellence (WSCAE) Student Art Expo at the Cheney Mansion, 220 N. Euclid Avenue, Oak Park.
During the free event, student artists from 55 schools in 15 school districts will have an opportunity to discuss their artwork with the general public, and get input on their pieces from a number of local professional artists. Also scheduled are live demonstrations led by the Oak Park Art League, and opportunities to show support for the students by sending them “fan mail.”
Art activities for the general public will include weaving, clay, drawing and painting.
District 181 art teachers will select 12 students from each District 181 middle school and eight from each elementary school to participate.
