Opera For the Young is Returning to Madison!
Thanks to the support of District 181, Opera For the Young will be returning to Madison School on Wednesday, March 21st. This year’s opera is Antonín Dvořák’s “Rusalka,” and our fourth graders will be assisting the cast during the performance. The performance is scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30am in our school gym/MPR and all are welcome. Be aware that audience members will not be allowed to enter the performance area until right before it begins as we will be having a morning rehearsal. Additionally, neither video nor audio recording is allowed as the content is copyrighted. There will be an opportunity for photos to be taken of 4th graders with the cast immediately following the performance. Please encourage your students to practice and learn more about the performance with our Madison Music Website Opera for the Young page!
Please note, all Madison students and audience members are invited to dress in tropical style clothing to go along with the “under the sea” theme of Rusalka on March 21st!
**4th Grade Parents: Your child(ren) brought home an informational flier about the performance, being a part of the cameo cast lottery for special parts in the show, as well as a page about a contest for designing the cover of our program. The lottery permission slip is due on February 9th, and the program cover is due by March 7th. A copy of this information is attached to this notice.*
